About the Author
Jenny Benes was born in Holland in 1937, in the city of Groningen.
In my family of six, I am the oldest.
I was the only one who ever went to a Sunday school.
One good reason for my going was that if you showed
good attendance during the year, you would receive a book.
Reading was, and is my passion.
I believe that if I had stayed in Holland, I would not be a
Christian today, as I am sad too tell you that many churches have been converted into coffee shops and restaurants.
In my stories, I am taking you first through a time of my life that no little girl should experience.
I will tell you about some very turbulent times in my life.
As a teenager: moving to another country at age 20,
I tell you about my first year’s experiences in Canada.
Moving to America where I am getting involved in the occult.
I wasted nine years of my life.
I hope to warn my reader’s about not getting involved with the occult.
My stories were written for the purpose of being a witness.
I believe that they will up-lift and bless people.
They will renew and strengthen people’s faith.
My experiences, some unusual stories, are all true.
I am showing the Lord to have a sense of humor, that
He has a purpose and a plan for our lives.
Indeed, He works through people.
I am grateful to be a believer today, as the Lord has truly
changed my life for the better. I enjoy being a “fisher of men.”
*A few remarks made by those who have read my stories.
* “I read Jenny’s stories and it remained charming throughout.
I suspect she would be a good dramatist since she sets up very
easily situations that are rich in conflict. (This person is a writer himself).
*I have just finished reviewing Jenny’s stories and found it to be not only interesting but also very informative. Her written description of her life to date along with her conversion and acceptance of Jesus Christ holds the reader spellbound as they wonder what will be the next thing to happen.
*Jenny I wanted to print a few of your stories in my newspaper. Your stories do not break down into small bits. They are meant to be read as a story, a saga an autobiography of a real person and have to be read from beginning to end like a novel or mystery story.
I continue to be intrigued by the way you express yourself and your stories have a way of taking over my thoughts.
You seem to be able to tell me things in a way that I have never experienced before.
My dear readers,
I have left you my email address. Please use it to give me your comments, or questions.
Please pass my stories on. You can be a witness for the Lord too! snowflake_okanagan@shaw.ca

*Too my great sorrow I need to tell you that my loving Hugo has now passed away on January 11th, 2006. He was mine 21 years and twenty days.
In closing I would like to let you all know that after losing Hugo six years ago I am now married to a wonderful man whose name is Cornelis Donders. The greatest surprise came when I found out that Hugo and Cornelis knew each other when in the past they had the same friends. It is a small world is it not?
Yes He Works Through People
